With Apple yet to acknowledge the issue, many are wondering how long it will take for a fix to come out. Judging by the reports, it looks like the issue has made its way on macOS Monterey 12.1 as well. Many say that the issue can be fixed by simply power cycling the mouse, but this is really inconvenient and not at all practical. Users say that the issues were also reported on macOS 12 Monterey Beta, but thought that Apple would fix the bugs in the stable release. Many who upgraded their system to macOS 12 Monterey say that their Magic Mouse scroll and the trackpad gestures randomly stop working ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10). With that being said, it looks users are facing another software issue. In the last few years, many have made the transition from Windows to Mac because macOS has had fewer bugs and issues compared to the former.īut with the release of macOS Monterey, it looks like Apple is following in Microsoft’s footsteps with users reporting several bugs such as the universal clipboard not working for some and the Time Machine backup taking forever.
